Our
Origin Story.
EQWELL was brought to life by a compassionate collective who witnessed participants facing homelessness due to their provider collapsing.
United by a refusal to abandon those in need, EQWELL was built on an unwavering commitment to providing high-quality support, particularly for those in challenging situations where other providers can't or won't step in.
When a regular business collapses, people lose jobs. However, when a Supported Independent Living (SIL) provider collapses, vulnerable individuals not only lose their home but also the essential support they need to survive.
Ensuring stable business practices is a fundamental responsibility of a good SIL provider, providing a safe and supportive home environment where residents can build the life they dream of.
EQWELL strives to offer more than just a physical space; we aim to create a home - a sanctuary where people can feel safe, grow, and cherish their memories while dreaming of a brighter future. Everyone deserves a true home, not just a place to sleep.

purpose.
Moving into a space of your own brings pride and security, marking the start of an independent life, a milestone cherished by many.
We believe this experience should be universal, however, people living with disability too often miss out due to the unique challenges they face. One size does not fit all, and EQWELL exists to deliver the support required to enable people’s independent living.
No one should be denied the experience of independence, and the treasures of forging your own path and identity in life. Every EQWELL Team Member, regardless of role, is responsible for championing the best long term outcomes for those in our care living independently.
To us, this is a cause worth fighting for, and it’s this that continues to energise & galvanise us to show up, even on the hardest days, with a devotion to positively impact those around us, and leave this world a little better.

Righteousness is maintaining morally good intentions, not just when others are looking, or when standing to gain. To us, righteousness means we always do the right thing. Even when nobody's looking, and when we stand to lose. We believe this to be a true test of character.

EQWELL exists to craft thriving home environments; not just a house, a home… far more than 4 walls, a roof and a bed. We do this with intentionality, humanness & strategy, supporting those in our care to live healthy, and meaningful lives in the communities that matter most to them.
